Supply
and install 2” Polyethylene product
and fill with granulated rubber and sand
to required fill level.
These are the processes we follow to
produce high quality golf greens:
We start with a base consisting of 4-6”
of crushed aggregate. We water and compact
the base forming breaks and undulations,
which cannot be done with a concrete base.
We then install a 3/16” cushion
underlay (optional). This ensures the
green staying soft over time. Next, a
1 1/4” Polypropylene turf product
is used for putting greens. It is in-filled
to within 1/8” from the top of the
fiber height with a formulation of specific
sands, then the tips are rolled to give
the effect of a true bent grass green.
For lawn areas, the process is less detailed;
only a 2 -3” aggregate base is needed
with a 2” Polyethylene turf. The
turf is partially in-filled with a formulation
of specific sand and granulated rubber
to give it the feel of real grass. This
same product is used for fringe around
a putting green however, does not have
an in-fill of rubber when used as fringe.
